Developments in 2011 include the application of the common-reflection surface (CRS) to improve final sections. Common-reflection surface stack is a technique that improves the signal-to-noise ratio of the data using dip and azimuth information. CRS can be a pre-stack or post stack operator to improve structural images; significant increases in signal-to-noise offer better semblance panels for velocity analysis.
